What to do this spring

The seasons are changing—the days are getting longer and warmer, and Marshfield has a fresh mix of things to see and do. From delicious dishes served up in our historic downtown to vibrant outdoor attractions, there are so many reasons to plan a Marshfield spring getaway. Here are some fun things you should put on your spring to-do list.

Find some laughs at Jurustic Park

Just outside Marshfield, you can step into another world. Heaps of rusted metal have been transformed into a dream world of placid turtles, sassy cats and playful dinosaurs. The creative genius behind Jurustic Park is an attorney-turned-artist named Clyde Wynia. If sparks are flying in his shop, he might be hard at work on his next creation, but when Clyde has a break, you’ll often find him greeting visitors and making them laugh with his artwork—and his jokes. Like the metal monsters he creates, Clyde is a work of art, and it’s hard to leave his world without a smile.

Soak up the color at Mill Creek Gardens

Winter is just a memory at Mill Creek Gardens, a garden center that has a vibrant selection of flowering plants and vegetables. Mill Creek starts its own annuals from seeds and cuttings each January, so you can be sure to get the best quality. Find something for a window box, a hanging basket or a planter, or just take in the colors and smells of fresh spring flowers. New blossoms are opening daily.

Discover fresh finds on Main Street Marshfield

Marshfield’s historic downtown is home to stores filled with antique and vintage items. Whether you’re looking for early American dishes to dress up a special meal or some fresh discoveries for your turntable, you’ll find that the search is as rewarding as the finds.

Spice things up with dinner

All this fresh spring air might make you a little hungry. It’s nothing a taco can’t fix. Marshfield has some great south-of-the border dining options, including Casa Amigos Mexican Restaurant 2, El Mezcal and Taqueria El Sol. Enjoy all the favorites, including burritos, tacos, fajitas and refreshing margaritas and more.
