Sat, September 23, 2023 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

Sandhill Wildlife Area

How do we use fire as a wildlife management technique? What goes into a burn plan? Do you have any other BURNING questions that you were curious about? Join us at Sandhill Wildlife Area as we welcome The Nature Conservancy who will help us learn about prescribed burns as a management tool. Find out how controlled fire is used to improve or change habitat and get info on available resources, what is needed, who can/will do it, safety, and legal considerations.

Meet in the Sandhill Outdoor Skills Center.
Class is limited to 30 participants.
Preregistration is required before September 20th along with a $25 registration fee per person.
