Wenzel Family Plaza
Outdoor summer concert series at the Wenzel Family Plaza on Friday evenings including outdoor games and local food trucks.
Flying Ostrich: Flying Ostrich is the new project from Central WI singer/songwriter/guitarist Aaron Lee Kaplan. It’s a blues/rock band playing Kaplan’s original Twisted Blues and covers of familiar classic rock and old-school blues songs. The band features veteran drummer of the WI music scene Markondrums and Nehemiah Kaplan, Aaron’s teenage son, on alto saxophone. Kaplan sees Flying Ostrich as a musical collective, a project whose lineup will change depending on the time and situation of any given performance or recording.
Black Hole Sons: Black Hole Sons is a collective of Central Wisconsin musicians made up of joe g., Bob Allen, Brandon Allen, and Pete Pagel.
Together, they’ve crafted a sonic odyssey through the golden age of grunge, resurrecting the raw energy and angst of the 90s with a setlist bound to please.
From the punk aesthetic of Nirvana to the distinctive vocal styles of Alice in Chains, from the ethereal sounds of Stone Temple Pilots to the infectious hooks of Weezer, and even delving into the depths of Tool’s intricate compositions, Black Hole Sons will take you on a journey through the cosmos of 90s nostalgia.
