Gallery Show Anthony P. Scott Woodlands & Pathways

For the month of November, Chestnut Center for the Arts is excited to welcome artist Anthony Scott with his exhibit: “Woodlands & Pathways,” featuring some incredible photography pieces! His exhibit will be running from November 3rd to November 30th. Join us in welcoming him and meet the face behind the art at his artist reception on November 3rd from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Come in during our normal business hours or contact us to set up a time to come see this gorgeous exhibit!

Artist Statement

In the UK, where I am from, we venerate our pathways to the extent of having a National Footpath Day when many volunteers walk ALL the paths, thus guaranteeing that the public right-of-way is preserved.  These walks are often across windswept moors and barren hills. Here in Wisconsin, pathways seem more intimate, and they give you a glimpse of being inside the woods. So, I’m trying to capture the colors, light and shadow, the brushes with wildlife, and the outskirts of small towns and woodland parishes, that you can enjoy when walking the woods of Wisconsin.
