New Visions Gallery is Marshfield’s fine art connection. The non-profit community museum has been located in the lobby of Marshfield Clinic Health System since 1975. The gallery maintains and interprets a fine collection of contemporary original art, Japanese prints, fine art posters, Haitian paintings and West African sculptures and masks. It has the largest Midwest collection of Australian Aboriginal art. New Visions also organizes a series of changing exhibitions. Exhibits change every six to seven weeks and feature a variety of art forms, including national traveling exhibitions, significant works on loan from private and public collections and quality national and regional art. In late winter, Marshfield student art is featured. Each spring, the gallery organizes a national invitational exhibition of art with agricultural themes. A biennial juried exhibit of contemporary regional art is held. A list of current collection installations can be picked up at the gallery’s visitor’s desk. Admission to this accessible gallery is free. Guided group tours are available by appointment. Free parking is available on site.
