Fabulous Festivals

These traditional celebrations always bring new experiences for visitors to enjoy each year! Here are highlights for four of Marshfield’s biggest festivals in 2021.

  1. DairyfestJune 4, 5 & 6, 2021. Dairyfest kicks of festival season in Marshfield and celebrates its 40th year in 2021 of honoring the agricultural industry and the dairy farmer. It all begins bright and early Friday morning with the Dairyfest Breakfast at Marshfield Fairgrounds Park, in the Expo Building. Enjoy scrambled eggs, squeaky-fresh cheese curds, fresh fruit, muffins, ice cold milk, and more. This weekend-long celebration abounds with activities, including a Reverse Parade on Central Avenue, food offerings galore, kids’ activities at Wenzel Family Plaza, an old-fashioned Picnic in the Park, an outdoor movie, softball tournament, and so much more (for a full list of activities, check out marshfieldchamber.com)! With so much to do, you’re sure to have an “udderly” good time!
  2. Summer heats up with Hub City Days, (July 29-31, 2021), taking over and celebrating Marshfield’s community and historic downtown, past, present, and future. The massive Car & Bike Show, Family Zone with bounce houses & kiddie games, Brew Fest, Beer Garden, live music featuring Rising Pheonix AND Spicy Tie Band… Your favorite weekend of the year is BACK. Hub City Days – celebrating Marshfield’s historic downtown and the people who love it! If you love and appreciate all things auto, you don’t want to miss this show!
  3. Speaking of “can’t miss this,” there’s no better way to close out the summer than spending a week at the Central Wisconsin State Fair, August 24-29, 2021 at Marshfield Fairgrounds Park. Voted Best Festival by the Best of Marshfield survey in 2019, it’s fair to say you haven’t full experienced Central Wisconsin until you go the Central Wisconsin State Fair. Bring the whole family out to see 4-H and open class exhibits, free grandstand entertainment with gate admission, midway carnival rides and games, commercial exhibits and special programs, fair food and beer gardens. Rock out in the grand stand to the sound stylings of Johnny Wad, Chris Kroeze, Hairball, and Jordan Davis!  Visit the centralwisconsinfair.com for the complete schedule of activities and entertainment.
  4. Marshfield taps into and spreads the joy of the fall season and all things maple with the 29th Annual Marshfield Maple Fall Fest, September 18 & 19, 2021 at Wildwood Park & Zoo. Visit Marshfield coordinates this festival and uses the proceeds from it to support and market local tourism related events, as well as grants for local organizations that support tourism efforts in Marshfield. Each year over 15,000 attendees visit the park to enjoy over 150 vendors with original handmade arts and crafts and artwork, traditional potato pancake breakfast, Amish specialties, Maple Village, over a dozen food vendors, and beer garden. There’s entertainment for the whole family at Wildwood Park on Saturday and Sunday at the Kid’s Zone, Mad Dog and Merrill “Grillin’ Buddies,” and Wildwood Zoo tours. Watch dance performances on by local dance troupes on the main Stage. In 2019, the Marshfield Monarch’s butterfly release was a major spectator highlight.
